3 times and glasses still wrong

First I want to say Dr Chris is great! Treated me for bad eye infection several months ago and I was extremely pleased. However, once infection was cleared up I needed my annual eye exam and due to scheduling issues, had to see the "visiting" doctor that is not there everyday. NEVER had distance vision problems, and have worn "readers" for years for close up. But my exam showed I needed corrective lenses. So....after working with the associate, I was told my upgraded "readers" (with my 30% BCBS discount) would be over $600.00!!!! I was not going to pay this price, but my husband encouraged me to go ahead if new glasses would help me in any way. I work in the accounting field and am at the computer with two monitors for 9-10 hours a day. My appt was on Feb 14th....waited 2 weeks for the glasses, and when I picked them up, I couldnt see a thing! Not only was the prescription entirely too strong, it was completely wrong. I felt like I had someone else's glasses on, but was told I needed to get used to them. So I was remeasured and the glasses were sent off for correction. On my second trip a couple weeks later, still wrong. At this point I was very upset and was not very kind to Wanda, who was trying to help me. She calmed me down and assured me that my lenses could be changed again, and after measuring my eyes agreed that the measurements for the original glasses needed changed. I went back today to pick up the glasses for the 3rd time (and almost 2 months later) and...you guessed it. Still cannot see with glasses. Because Wanda was busy with another patient, and against my better judgement, I picked up the glasses from the person that measured me to begin with. When I tried to explain that I could not see with the lenses, and that it made me nauseous to try, she wanted to let me know "we can change them".......here we go again! I had decided that if the glasses were still not correct after my 3rd trip, I would cut my loss, take the frames elsewhere, and pay AGAIN to get the correct glasses. So in summary, I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

I had an appointment on 7 March 14. From the minute I checked in until I departed the staff treated me very friendly and professionally, especially the lady that repaired my glasses before I left. (Wish I could remember her name). I will return! Harold
