standards of care

Maintaining the highest industry standards in vision care, all Doctors Vision staff members are known for their excellent patient service. We train every staff member for their knowledge of vision care, patient satisfaction abilities, attitude, and character.

Doctors Vision Center optometrists are expected to be industry leaders at all levels and to exceed the standards set forth by the American Optometric Association’s Clinical Practice Guidelines and the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Preferred Practice Patterns. Each Doctors Vision Center optometrist is constantly measured for compliance with these standards and their performance relative to their peers. This same high standard of vision care is carried through all of our staff members.

Our Technical Staff
Each staff member, who works directly with patients in professional services, is required to obtain certification from the Commission on Paraoptometric Certification and the Joint Commission on Allied Health in Ophthalmology. This includes:
  • Minimum level of Certified Paraoptometric (CPO)
  • Minimum level of Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
  • All employees are encouraged to seek higher level certifications over time
Our Optical Staff
Each staff member who works within the optical area of a Doctors Vision Center practice is specially trained in the selection, fit and dispensing of eyeglasses. Upon completion of their training, they are required to obtain optical certification (ABO designation) from the American Board of Opticianry.
Our Facilities and Services
Doctors Vision Center strives to support the highest levels of professional practice through:
  • Modern facilities
  • Up-to-date diagnostic equipment
  • Streamlined administrative processes, including online forms designed to minimize your time in the office on the day of your visit
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR), which helps to ensure that your eye care information is secure, complete, and can travel with you in electronic form should you need to change Doctors Vision Center providers.
