Doctors Vision Center offers its employees and their families a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following:

Major medical and dental plan
Doctors Vision Center provides over sixty-five percent (60%) of the cost of employee only coverage for our medical and dental plans. We currently offer both a medical PPO plan and a Health Savings Account. Employees have the option of purchasing coverage for their spouse, children, and/or family through a pre-tax program.
Vision plan
Full time employees are entitled to one free eye exam per year and $100 towards the wholesale cost of glasses or contacts. Spouses and children of employees are eligible to receive one free eye exam and are charged wholesale for the cost of glasses or contacts.
Short and long term disability
Doctors Vision Center provides long term disability coverage for all full time employees. Employees can choose to add short term disability coverage at their own cost through payroll deductions.
Basic, optional, and dependent life insurance
Doctors Vision Center provides $25,000 in basic life insurance for all full time employees. Employees have the option of purchasing additional life insurance for themselves, their spouse, and/or their children.
Retirement plan
During the quarterly enrollment following one year of service, employees are eligible to enroll in Doctors Vision Center, O.D., P.A.’s 401k program. Doctors Vision Center matches dollar for dollar on the first one percent (1%) of contribution plus fifty cents on the dollar on the next five percent (5%) of the employee’s salary. Employees can defer from one percent (1%) to one-hundred percent (100%) of their salary into the program. There are currently 19 investment options plus risk tolerance and target-date models from which to choose.
Personal Leave Bank (PLB)
PLB time is paid time off that is to be used for any time that employees need to be away from work whether for pleasure such as vacation or for not so pleasant reasons such as illness or personal emergencies. Employees accrue time based on their years of service and their employment status (full time, part time, etc.)
Leave of absence for jury duty, funeral, or military leave
We offer paid time off for employees to fulfill their civic duties with respect to jury duty. Doctors Vision Center provides paid time off for the death of an immediate family member. We also support those employees who serve our country in the military reserves and grant leaves of absence to fulfill those duties.
Tuition refund plan
It is the policy of Doctors Vision Center to encourage employees to further their job-related education. The tuition refund program may reimburse an employee for some or all of the cost of tuition for a maximum of two (2) courses per semester, provided that the employee meets the requirements of the program.
